This post is the first in a series that we attempt to answer your frequently asked question in regards to the Maxis Fibre Internet Plan.

  1. How long does it takes to get the Maxis Fibre installed?
    • It is estimated that the installation appointment will be scheduled in about 7 days after the registration is completed.
  2. Do I have to pay for the installation?
    • The “standard” installation fee of RM200 is now waived. You can refer to the Installation Guide for an explanation as what is considered as “standard” or otherwise.
  3. Is the registration free?
    • Yes, the registration is absolutely free.
  4. Is my house/office/shop comes within the service coverage area?
    • You can send us a coverage enquiry by filling up the form here
  5. Why my application is rejected even as my house/office/shop is covered by the fibr service?
    • There are many reasons why the installation could not proceed even if your house/office/shop is within the coverage area. The most probable reason is, no more spare ports for new installation. “Port Full” issue.
  6. How long do I have to wait for the port?
    • There are no hard and fast rules as when the “port full” issue will be resolved. The port will be allocated to you on a first come first serve basis. If an user at the same pillar terminate his/her account then you might get it sooner. Or else, you will have to wait for new cabinet to be built.
